Some Interesting Facts About Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County:
- We are County Wide: Four of our homes are in Little Falls, one in Randall, three in Pierz, and the next will be in Little Falls. Location of the home is determined by where the partner family lives.
- 10 /11/2009: By next fall, 10 families have a warm, safe place to call home. That is making a difference in the lives of 11 adults and 29 children.
- Payments: Families make house payments on an interest free mortgage. They pay real estate taxes and insurance, just like other homeowners.
- Partnerships: Many groups and individuals partner with HFHMC by doing everything from planning groundbreaking ceremonies to cooking for work crews, to staffing booths at trade shows, to line up supplies and everything in between.
- More than 2800: At a minimum, that is how many hours volunteers invest actually building every home; and that is not counting committee or planning hours.
- God: Our most important Partner, guiding individuals, groups, churches, businesses and organizations to become involved with HFHMC through prayer, volunteering their time, donating funds and materials. Morrison County Habitat for Humanity is an independent, private nonprofit organization (501c-3) governed by a local board of directors whose mission is to build simple, affordable housing for low-income people in our community. Funding from the agency comes primarily from local, individual, church and business contributions. MCHFH was established in 1998 in response to the housing need in Morrison County. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, MCHFH subscribes to the philosophy and values of the international organization.
